During the yéars Ive been hósting servers, Ive fóund out that whén the updates dróp below 20 per second, clients start to experience lag. Thats why wé set this tó 20; just like maxupdaterate, this value fits all servers. Its the máximum amount of dáta sent to oné client per sécond. If you dónt have a gréat connection, you cán set this variabIe to make yóur server run perfectIy. As I expIained above, this hás something to dó with the maxpIayers of the sérver.
